I've been scrapping since early 2007, a few months after the birth of my first son. I didn't go to any classes but some friends from work were having scrappy evenings and I went in, newborn in tow, and fell in love with the process, the "me" time, and the wonderful way to preserve our family memories. Another friend from work, Marielle, became my mentor, and made me discover a ton of scrappy sites and then I was hooked for real!
I love when the boys gush, their cheeks reddening, happy to see themselves featured in a layout. I've had a few layouts published, and was lucky enough to be part of Creative Scrappers for a season. That was an amazing experience. I love all the new scrappy friends I made through that process. I look forward to applying again. This year, I'm a lucky part of the DT of my LSS- Let's Capture Our Memories. There's something new and inspiring every week- Come and check us out:

Last year was a good one for me- I developped new skills and more confidence with scrapping. It takes less time (unless I'm watching Netflix while scrapping...hehehe). Also, I can't believe that even if we're still relatively early in January, I've already made as many layouts as I had completed by March of 2013! I made more cards than last year, and I even made a personnalized frame for DH. Go scrappy 2014!!!
This year, I set a goal of completing 3 mini albums from a family trip, one for each kiddo.
So... not new to scrapbooking, but very new to hop on the blogging wagon... Here are my favorites from 2013...
This is a LO of DS#3, made with delicious Simple Stories Harvest Lane. He's holding onto a leaf like he's found pure gold!
This one is of DS#1 for a Creative Scrappers DT assignment. It's made with the Fancy Pants Off To School collection- made for the DT assignment.
Another Creative Scrappers sketch- the May 2013 sketch challenge. Lots of Jillibean Soup here! DS#3 surfing the web, checking out Creative Scrappers' page and talking on the phone... cracks me up!
Disney memories at Castaway Cay- a great day at the beach. Echo Park- Paradise Beach. One of my favorites!
On the same Disney cruise trip, we got to go to the beach and the pool. Great February memories for us- we're usually in a few feet of snow! More Echo Park. Pagemaps sketch.
Recently made with My Mind's Eye- Cut & Paste collection. DS#3 when he was a wee one, smilin' away on a cloudy day... Creative Scrappers sketch.
Some team spirit is here with a layout for summer soccer- Jillibean Soup Gameday Chili...
Happy Day collection by Simple Stories- DS#1's 6th birthday- Lego Ninjago theme.
DS#2 just waiting around. Authentique Genuine papers, Creative Scrappers sketch- made for the DT assignment.
This is another Creative Scrappers inspired sketch- made with Echo Park goodies- the A Boy's Life collection. DS#1 at his 2nd Kids Of Steel triathlon.
"Have a magical day!" the delightful person at the end of a Disney phone call always says... This was a magical trip. I love this paper from Fancy Pants Design (The Good Life)- featured in Kristine Davidson's Creating With Sketches volume 2.
Another layout with The Good Life, all about DS#3's love of Grandma's soup- licking the bowl and all.
Another layout made with the wonderfull Harvest Lane by Simple Stories... I just love this collection. DS#2 climbing yet another tree, always in a tree somewhere...
Well that's all for 2013- now on to new adventures! Welcome 2014!!!
